How to use the coin flip & dice roller

  1. Flip the coin. Hit “Flip coin” to toss the virtual coin — it spins in 3D and lands on heads or tails, with a running tally of every toss this session.
  2. Choose your dice. Pick 1 to 6 dice from the dropdown, then hit “Roll dice”. The dice shake and settle on random faces, with the total shown underneath.
  3. Check the history. Your last 20 rolls are logged automatically — handy for board games and tabletop RPGs. Clear the log anytime.

How the randomness works

Both tools use your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with rejection sampling, so every outcome is uniformly distributed — no patterns, no rigging. The coin is a true 50/50 split, and each die face has exactly a 1-in-6 chance on every roll, independent of previous rolls.

Coin flip & dice FAQ

Yes. It uses your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (the same kind of randomness behind secure password generation), with rejection sampling so heads and tails each have exactly a 50% chance. There are no patterns and no memory of previous flips.
Absolutely — that's what it's for. The 50/50 outcome is unbiased, and the flip animation plays out the same way every time, so neither side can claim the result was tampered with. The running tally also lets everyone see the full session.
Choose 1 to 6 dice and roll. Each die is rolled independently with a uniform 1-in-6 chance per face, the total is added up automatically, and your last 20 rolls are kept in the history log below — perfect for board games, RPGs, and classroom activities.
No. Everything runs locally in your browser. Tallies and roll history live only in the page's memory and disappear when you close or refresh the tab.
